Also referred to as the cape sundew, this is another efficient predatory plant. It produces red (typical) or white/faint pink (alba) sticky leaves that will catch just about any flying insect that dares to land on it. Once the prey is caught, the leaves curl around it to ensure proper digestion. A sight to see and a fun plant to grow. Grown outdoors in full sun.

I ordered a cape sundew, and it was my first time ordering this variety. The unfortunate part was that the delivery was delayed due to USPS. I reached out and received stellar help and options for the delay. What was supposed to be 3 days ended up being 13! Suffice to say the package finally arrived and I was curious about how it would turn out and I have to say the order was packaged expertly. While the plant did endure some hardship and was definitely not happy, but it did survive. This i am sure due to the expert job of packaging a live plant for shipping. I was offered a refund and then ordered again. Second delivery arrived in perfect condition. I also wanted to say that the images of offerings and what I received were 100% accurate. I hope anyone that might be on the fence with this retailer take the plunge and order. I know I will be ordering again in the future.
